Soror McNair has been an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated since 1989 being initiated into Lambda Gamma Zeta Chapter, Howard County, Maryland. Soror McNair has served in numerous positions on the local, state and regional levels. She is a charter member of Chi Beta Zeta Chapter, Windsor Mills, Maryland and the immediate past Maryland State Director serving in that position from 2002-2009. Soror McNair is a Zeta Legacy, her mother Dr. Marie P. Tann is a member of Gamma Epsilon Zeta Chapter, Concord, North Carolina, Eastern Region.

Professionally, Soror McNair is the Program Director for the Health Information Technology Program at Baltimore City Community College, Baltimore, Maryland and she is in her last year of her doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health and Education at Walden University. Soror McNair is also a book reviewer of college textbooks for Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins Publishers in Baltimore, Maryland. Soror McNair is an active member of Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church, Baltimore, Maryland.
