Maryland State Director 
Gwenneth Corujo

Soror Corujo has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. since 1989 where she was initiated into the Chi Epsilon Chapter at the University of Georgia. She is an active member of Eta Pi Zeta Chapter in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has held several positions on the local level such as Undergraduate Advisor, 3rd Anti-Baslieus, and 1st Anti-Basileus. Her most recent position was Basileus of the Eta Pi Zeta Chapter, where she held the position for over 4 years.  She has also held several positions in the State of Maryland. Her most recent position was Chair of the Undergraduate Council.

 

Soror Corujo received her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.

 

Professionally, Soror Corujo is employed as a Supervisor at District of Columbia Pretrial Services Agency. DC Pretrial Services is an agency that assesses, supervise and provide services for defendants, and collaborate with the justice community to assist the courts in making pretrial release decisions. She started at DC Pretrial Services in 1994 where she worked in several departments. She is also a member on the Federal Women’s Program Committee. This committee promotes the professional advancement of women in the workplace.

Delaware State Director

Soror McMillion began her Zeta career in 2000 with Upsilon Chapter at Delaware State University. While an undergraduate she completed a successful tenure as Basileus and as Tamias.  She went on to join Theta Zeta Zeta Chapter in Dover, Delaware where she has served dutifully as the Grammateus and First Anti-Basileus. As the First Anti-Basileus she was highly successful in helping the chapter reach a milestone of conducting intake for eleven new members. Most recently, Soror McMillion served the State of Delaware as the Grammateus.

  

Professionally Soror McMillion is a teacher for behavioral students at the Capital School District for the Kent Count Alternative Programs/PEAK.  She teaches High School Science and Health and has a very challenging but rewarding position.  Soror McMillion began her teaching career in July 2004, at Positive Outcomes Charter School in Camden, Delaware as the High School Science Teacher for students with special needs.  Driven by her love for teaching, she also worked with students to direct the step team, host the school’s first talent show, help with the school’s yearbook, and plan the 2005 and 2006 Senior Prom.   She transferred to Sussex Central Middle School, Indian River School District in 2006, where she was an Inclusion Science Teacher for 8th grade students.  While there, she was the assistant track coach for both the girls’ and boys’ teams.  In 2007, she transferred back to Positive Outcomes Charter School, where she served as an Integrated Science Teacher. 

 

Soror McMillion graduated from Delaware State University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology.      She has had conference experience at the State, Regional, and National level as both an attendee and a delegate. She attended the 2007 Zeta Organizational Leadership Conference and achieved her status as being ZOL Certified.

New Jersey State Director
Paquita Henderson

A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. since 1995, she has served the sorority with distinction and honor having held several positions including Tamias Grammateus, Tamias, Scholarship Committee Treasurer, Archonette Advisor, and Amicae Advisor in her local chapter.    She has also served as the NJ State Tamias and Tamias Grammateus. Most recently she completed a successful tenure as Basileus of Gamma Omicron Zeta Chapter where she steered the chapter into being the largest chapter in New Jersey. Soror Henderson has been an active participant at National, Regional and State meetings and conferences and has attended every Boulé’ and State Leadership Conference since becoming a Zeta.

 

She received her B.A. degree (Cum Laude) in Business Administration and Economics from Lincoln University, Lincoln University, Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from Atlantic University Graduate School of Business Administration, Atlanta, Georgia.  After graduation Soror Henderson started her career as a Financial Analyst in the third largest steel company in the United States.  Subsequently she was recruited and employed by two other Fortune 500 corporations where she worked in management positions.

 

Professionally, Soror Henderson is a Revenue Agent in the Special Enforcement Program with the United States Internal Revenue Service.  At the I.R.S. in New Jersey she is also a National Treasury Employee Union Steward.

 

Soror Henderson is and has been a faithful and active member of Franklin-St. John’s United Methodist Church in Newark, New Jersey.  She served as the Church Business Administrator for 18 years, and as the Chairperson of the Committee on Finance.  She is a founding Member of the Franklin-St. John’s Credit Union and served as a member of the Board of Directors for several years. She now serves in leadership positions on various committees in the church and has been a member of the choir since childhood.

Soror Levette Jones is a Telecommunications Administrator for Hodgson Russ, LLP, a preeminent law firm in Buffalo, New York and one of the nation’s oldest law firms.  The firm employs more than 230 Attorney’s in seven offices throughout the United States and Canada.  In her position, she manages the support and operations of the firm’s telecom and PBX system as well as their blackberry and mobile phone program and has ultimate authority on end-user practices and security policies, practices and procedures for all software and device technology. 


She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University in Maryland and an Associates degree in Sales from Bryant and Stratton College in New York.  Ever more the skilled practitioner, Soror Jones is a Microsoft Certified Professional, (MCP) a Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).


During her tenure in Zeta she has served on the chapter, state, and regional level in both elected and appointed offices.  Most recently she was elected to serve as Atlantic Regional Secretary and then appointed to serve as the Regional Database Manager.  Soror Jones has been a member of Zeta since 1999.

Tri-State Director (CT,MA,RI)
Nanyamka Hales

Soror Hales holds a Masters in Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health and was also a Dean’s Scholar. She also holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Clark Atlanta University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Prior to moving to Massachusetts, Soror Hales worked professionally as a Biological Laboratory Researcher at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia in the Viral Gastroenteritis Unit. Currently, she is a Community Executive for Health Initiatives with the American Cancer Society.  In this position she works with Massachusetts community health systems and local hospitals to integrate health initiatives (Prevention, Detection and Patient Support) at all levels in the community. She also speaks in the community on early cancer detection, prevention and education.  Previously to working at the American Cancer Society, she worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in the Cancer Control and Prevention Department as a Working Group Coordinator for the Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition (MCCCC). The Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition is a network of over 300 organizations dedicated to decreasing cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality in Massachusetts.

  

Soror Hales began her Zeta career in 1999 with Psi Chapter at Clark Atlanta University where she served as Basileus and Grammateus.  She went on to join Rho Pi Zeta Chapter in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts where she completed a successful tenure as Basileus from 2006-2008.  She has served Zeta in numerous capacities including 2nd Anti Basileus, Archonette Advisor, Tri-State Scholarship Chairperson, and the Tri-State Representative to the Regional Nominating Committee. The sisterhood has bestowed upon her several honors and awards for her outstanding leadership and dedicated service including the 2007 Tri-State Zeta of the Year Award, 2007 Tri-State Basileus of the Year Award and 2009 Finer Womanhood Award. She has had conference experience at the State, Regional, and National level as both an attendee and a delegate and is ZOL Certified. Soror Hales is currently an active member of the Chi Eta Zeta Chapter in Cambridge, MA.
