The 2009 "Awesome" Atlantic
Regional Z-HOPE Community Service Initiative is the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The purpose of the WWP is: to raise
awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women; to help severely injured service
members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services for to meet their needs. The WWP is
accredited as a veteran's service organization by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Our goal is to provide as many wounded warrior Backpacks which contain essential care
and comfort items including clothing, toiletries, calling card, CD player, and playing cards, all designed to make their hospital
stay more comfortable. They are provided to severely wounded service members arriving at military trauma centers. The
back packs are $99 each and our goal is provide 50 backpacks!

Earn Z-HOPE Points for participating!
1. Donations must be presented at the Regional Conference (there will be a designated time for reporting-see
schedule) or mailed to your State Z-HOPE Coordinator along with a copy of the Z-HOPE Chapter Summary Reporting form. Be sure
to fill in all required information.
2. Make all
checks payable to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated-Atlantic Region. The region will present one check to the organization
as our Regional Community Service Project. In the memo section of your check, write AR Z-HOPE Initiative.
3. You may designate how your contribution will count toward a particular
population or dimension (Mind, Body, Spirit).
4.
Participation in the initiative meets the requirements for fulfilling the mandate on program for women.
5. Chapter credit will be given for the 2009-2010 membership year.
