Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Atlantic Region celebrates the Month of the Military Child

April is designated as Month of the Military Child; a time to honor the sacrifices made by military families worldwide, with an emphasis on the experience of the dependent children of military members serving at home and overseas.

We celebrate Brazil Alexandra!
Age: 14
Hobbies: playing soccer and traveling with my mom.
Best thing about being a military child? The best thing about being a military child is the opportunities and various experiences we have at a young age. It also allows us to travel to places some people dream of and meet new people everywhere we go.
Branch of Service: US Army (Mom) & US Air Force (Dad)
HERO Story: My hero is my mom because she is strong, dedicated and determined.

 

We celebrate Isaiah!
Age: 13
Hobbies: computer graphics, video games, tricking
Best thing about being a military child? The base and the people there, and being able to go places other people don’t.
Branch of Service: Air Force  
HERO Story: Who is your HERO and why? My brother Quinton because he’s an excellent musician and even got to play with Black Violin. He helps a lot and he helps me find fun things to do.

Age: 15
Hobbies: dance, gymnastics and reading
Best thing about being a military child? Meeting all different types of people.
Branch of Service: Air Force
HERO Story: my great grandmother because she did so much - she was a Zeta, a teacher and I want to be a teacher, and she was very active in her community

Age: 18
Hobbies: gymnastics, piano, guitar
Best thing about being a military child? Safety, the military community is reliable and helps ensure needs are met.
Branch of Service: Air Force
HERO Story: my parents because they have accomplished a lot after leaving that small town in Georgia.
